Adventures in Lockdown

Over a period of six weeks during the Covid-19 lockdown of 2021, Lisette Auton, Tamsin Daisy Rees, Holly Gallagher and Holly Blythman worked with a bunch of young people from across Stockton on Tees to play with words and illustrations via Microsoft Teams.

More Stuff Like This Please!

The young people were all taking part in Stockton ARC’s brill arts programme, More Stuff Like This Please! Meeting regularly, the sessions give the young people an opportunity to work with arts practitioners of all types.

Adventures in Lockdown

The book itself is a collection of poetry, stories, illustrations and reflections, created by the young people during a time of uncertainty, isolation and anxiety. We worked with the programme, the artists and writers, and the young people to develop the idea, curate and edit the content, and publish the book itself.

Book Launch

In June 2021, we worked with ARC and the More Stuff Like This! team to launch the book with a brill event at Stockton’s super bookshop, Drake The Bookshop.

“Very PROUD…”

“I just want to say how wonderful I think the book looks!! I feel quite emotional and very very proud of what the group have achieved – it looks so brilliant!!”
